EVERY TUESDAY – The Wabun Tribal Council invites all community members to our Blood Pressure Clinic every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tee Pee at the Elder’s Complex. Come and take advantage of this free health service to monitor and manage your blood pressure. We look forward to seeing you there!
Monday, September 9, 2024 – Join us for an essential Naloxone Training event at the Brunswick House First Nation Health Centre. This introductory course will teach you how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to safely administer naloxone, a life-saving medication. Our trainers will guide you through practical steps and provide hands-on practice, ensuring you feel confident and prepared to act in an emergency. This training is open to all community members who want to learn how to save lives and make a difference.
October 21-25, 2024 – Save the date for our Adult Wellness Gathering this fall at the Ramada Inn (1800 Riverside Drive) in Timmins. Join us for a week of fun, including a comedy show, line dancing, cedar baths, massages, round dance and more.
August 12-15, 2024 – We are excited to invite you to the Senior Youth Summer Camp. This year’s camp promises to be an enriching experience filled with traditional teachings, games, cultural activities, hands-on workshops, and opportunities to connect with other youth.
Wednesday, September 20, 2023 – As you may know the Chiefs of Ontario will be having a rally held in Ottawa on September 20, 2023 for First Nations Opposition to the Passing of Bill C-53. We would like to extend the invitation to all Chief & Council as well as community members that would like to attend.
