Land Use Research Member Survey
Wabun Tribal Council is inviting members of Wabun First Nations to take part in a Land Use Research Member Survey.
The survey is being conducted to better understand the impact of harvesters who identify as Métis and are part of the Métis Nation of Ontario in Wabun territories.
Information shared through the survey will support Wabun’s legal work and help assess how Métis assertions, harvesting and land use are affecting Wabun First Nation members.
The survey takes approximately
10 minutes to complete.
Who Can Take Part?
The survey is open only to members of Wabun First Nations. Participants will be asked to provide their name, First Nation and status number.
Responses are confidential. Answers will only be seen by Wabun staff, contractors and legal advisors. Members are asked not to share the survey outside of Wabun First Nations.
What Does the Survey Ask About?

- Past: What you have heard about any Métis community in your territory, going back generations.
- Present: Your own harvesting activities, including fishing, trapping, gathering food and medicines, and where you harvest today.
- Impact: Harvesting by people who identify as Métis or Métis Nation of Ontario members, and whether it has changed your land use.
