Human Resource Manager
Wabun Tribal Council
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role provides human resources support across core areas of organizational and community operations. This posting is best suited to a candidate with HR experience, strong professional judgment, and experience working with Indigenous organizations or First Nations communities.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day human resources support
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding
- Support employee relations and performance management processes
- Help develop and review HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies
- Coordinate staff training and development initiatives
- Travel to member communities as required
Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience working in Indigenous organizations or with First Nations communities
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel

Development Corporation
The Wabun Development Corporation was established by Wabun Tribal Council to promote economic development for its member First Nations.
Economic Development
Responsible for encouraging and assisting member First Nations and their membership, to establish and expand businesses and business opportunities.
Wabun Youth
WTC is committed to providing support services and programs for the youth of its member First Nations. Wabun coordinates a Youth Gathering that takes place every summer.
